Kara began teaching Pilates in late 2005, when she completed her first mat certification in Richmond, VA. She completed the comprehensive BASI certification course in April 2008, the post-graduate BASI course "Pilates for Dancers" in January 2009, and a pre/post-natal specialization through the Center for Women's Fitness in March 2011. Kara loves how the pilates method offers benefits to people with a broad range of fitness backgrounds and goals. As a health enthusiast, she enjoys approaching pilates as a continuous learning experience that challenges both the body and mind. Kara also enjoys traveling, cycling, ballroom dancing, and cooking.
